Penalties
Failure to comply with The Occupational Health and Safety Act could result in a maximum fine (person) of $25,000 or imprisonment for not longer than 12 months or both and a maximum fine (corporation) of $500,000. Failure to comply with the Canada Labour Code could result in a fine (every person) of $1,000,000 or imprisonment for not longer than 24 months or both.

In the final analysis there is no such thing as a “Lift Truck Operator’s License” but the operator must be qualified as outlined above. Our instructors are trained and are certified to instruct lift truck operators such that they and their companies comply with the above legislation. We also offer refresher courses to update operators who are already certified.
